Safety

We’re safe — every day!

EmpireWorks proudly leads the industry in Safety. Safe work practices protect everyone involved in the painting and/or reconstruction project: each crew member, resident, property manager, and board member alike. Safety is of the upmost importance to us which is why we implement safety in our daily routine here at EmpireWorks, which undoubtedly separates us from many other contractors.

EPA Lead-Safe Certification

Federal and State law requires that contractors performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb more than 20 square feet of exterior paint surfaces in homes, buildings, and structures built before 1978 must be certified and trained to follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.
Protect your residents and make sure you only hire a contractor who is in a Lead-Safe Certified Firm.
You can be certain that EmpireWorks follows the law in its entirety and is fully EPA Lead- Safe-Certified.
For more information on Lead visit www2.epa.gov/lead. You may also read this lead safety alert from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Complete OSHA Compliance

EmpireWorks actively strives to meet and exceed all OSHA requirements for multi-family property painting and construction with frequent job site safety meetings, the use of harnesses while working on roofs, and comprehensive reporting of injuries and illnesses.

Regular Safety Meetings

Safety seminars are an essential part of the training every crew member must undergo: our specialized and dedicated safety director ensures safety on a daily basis, safety meetings are held division wide on a monthly basis, and our foremen hold safety meetings with their crew every week. We have more safety meetings than OSHA requires!

Our Comprehensive Safety Manual

At EmpireWorks we do more than just talk about safety, we implement it. All employees must receive, review, and constantly heed our comprehensive safety manual.
If you observe any unsafe practices at any of our jobsites, please contact us at 888-278-8200.
